There are cash prizes, ribbons and of course, the fame and praise... to be won! The Open Class is open to everyone.... of all ages and you don't need to live in Mason County to enter most of the divisions in this Class.

you must be a enrolled member of the club to enter those classes.

Enter exhibits 7/21 from 1 p.m.- 7 p.m. and Thursday, July 22nd from 10am to 3 p.m. . All exhibited samples must be clean, identified with common and/or scientific names. All exhibited samples are to be labeled neatly with the same format and with place of origin, if possible. For unusual specimens or display items contact the superintendent, as deviation from above rules may be acceptable. Entries will be judged on educational value, craftsmanship, design ingenuity, uniqueness, and time used to prepare the item or items.

The display should consist of samples to fill a case 2x2x4.

Rules:
Entries will be accepted at Mason Area Fair, PO Box 622, Shelton WA 98584 from from June 1st to July 18th, Entries must be accompanied by a COMPLETED Mason Area Fair entry form.
Entries must be original and unpublished works of entrant (except where noted). Entries must be typed and double-spaced on standard paper (8 1/2” x 11”) except poetry, which may be single-spaced.
All entries must be 20 pages or less in Times New Roman or Arial font - 10 or 12 point size (Except as noted).
Clear photocopies will be accepted. All poetry of 12 lines or less may be accompanied by a piece of artwork on the same page.
Each page of entry must have a title block in upper right hand corner consisting of: division, class, and title of work. DO NOT INCLUDE ENTRANT’S NAME.
Pickup time for all entries is last day of the fair, Sunday July 25th in Building #6, from 7-8pm. If this is not possible, prior arrangements must be made with the superintendent to pick up entries at a later date. Entries will not be returned by mail.

Open to children under 18 years of age.
Self bound book with graphics, 20-50 pages, created by a group or singularily. Each part of the book will be judged: Cover, storyline and content, as well as graphics that enhance the story.

Rules: Photos must be turned in on 7/21 from 1 p.m.- 7 p.m.at the Fairgrounds, Building #20. Online registration will be open until July 20th. All photos must be picked up after close of fair, Sunday at 6:00 p.m. No framed photographs. Limit of six photos per person. All pictures must have been taken by the exhibitor within the last four years. All pictures must be mounted on matte board no larger than 16”x20” and no smaller than 8”x10”; except snapshot division. Snapshots will be mounted on a 5”x7” board. No photos previously shown at the Mason Fair will be eligible. If photographs are not matted to Premium Guide Standards the entries may not be accepted.

All wines that are submitted for judging must be in 750ml bottles and properly marked. All entries become property of the Mason Area Fair. A 2-bottle amount is suggested for each wine entered in the competition. No wines will be returned. No fees are required to enter the Mason County Wine Event. A list of retail outlets that currently sell the wines submitted for judging should be made available with your entries, to direct consumers as to where to purchase these wines. If your wine is shipped, the bottles will be inspected for breakage upon arrival and you will be notified if there is a problem.
