Country Singer Lacey D to perform at this years event

Lacey D is a country singer who is bound to turn heads Saturday at this year’s Mason County Fair.
Her music honors country legends such as Tanya Tucker and Loretta Lynn, while stylistically going in a more modern direction to the shade of Carrie Underwood.
Lacey D, “that little girl with the big voice,” began her enthusiasm for country music over 12 years ago.
Throughout junior and senior high school, Lacey studied voice and trained at a performing arts school where she participated in master classes. At 14, Lacey was introduced to a Seattle songwriter and producer. That meeting led to a 10 year friendship and hundreds of hours in the recording studio. It was through that relationship that Lacey discovered Nashville producer Scott Turner who helped select songs for “Everyday Girl” and eventually brought Lacey to Nashville to produce her debut CD.
Lacey performs songs from a varied cross section of songwriters and shows remarkable maturity, confidence, and depth with her vocal performances.
Lacey performs at noon on Saturday in Building 17. Stop by for some great Fair food, let the kids enjoy the Fine Arts crafts activities and sit back and enjoy Lacey’s melodies.

Mason County Fair Seeks Sponsorships
The Mason County Fair Board is throwing a three-day party
and needs help to throw the doors open and let every one in
for free.
The Centennial Mason County Fair -- July 25-27, 2008 -- celebrates
the 100th anniversary of the 1908 county fair. During the past
100 years residents have gathered to show off their best fruits,
vegetables, grains, flowers, wool, quilts, sheep, chickens,
goats, pigs, horses, paintings, photographs, pies, canned goods,
etc.
While the world has changed since the first county fair at
the Commercial Club in 1908, there is still much to be gained
by gathering as a community. The fair is the only entertaining
countywide event that supports and promotes our local agriculture
and animals.
By having a free gate, we can draw in people who may not know
what's inside the fairgrounds. They will discover their friends'
and neighbors' hidden artistic talents, show their children
where eggs and the rest of breakfast come from, read and hear
about county history at the Historical Museum, listen to an
amazing variety of musical groups, see a colorful roomful of
quilts, watch horses zip around the arena as the riders hang
on, and catch up with old friends.
Sponsorships are needed in order to offer a free centennial
fair. A building sponsorship package has been set up
for each building and arena for $1,000. If you would
like to be the main stage sponsor for $5,000 your banner will
be displayed for the year. We have sponsorship benefits that
go with each level of donation, which includes having your
name prominently displayed.
A $500 donation funds 100 admissions; $1,000 supports 200
admissions; $5,000 pays 1,000 admissions; $10,000 subsidizes
2,000 admissions; $25,000 furnishes 5,000 admissions and $100,000
covers the whole shooting match.
If you would like to help the Fair Board reach its goal of
a free gate to celebrate the Centennial Fair, please contact
the Fair Office at 360-427-7789. Donations can be sent
to Mason County Fair, P.O. Box 2286, Shelton, WA 98584. We
look forward to working with the community to create a great
celebration that everyone will enjoy. |
