FFA Chapters
GENERAL RULES: All boys and girls exhibiting must be properly enrolled members of an FFA Chapter. All animal exhibits must be preregistered by July 13th in order to allow adequate space. Contact superintendent for forms. Animal exhibits will not be allowed to enter barns without proper vet check. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of pen space. Non-animal exhibits must be entered Thursday, fair week.
Refer to general RULES for animal health requirements. No animal or article will be allowed to compete for more than one premium, nor shall be entered in more than one class, except as in herds, pens or open class. Each exhibitor is responsible for the cleanliness of the barn area assigned to them. HERDSMANSHIP IS REQUIRED. Fitting and showing is required of all animal projects.

RULES: All exhibitors will notify the superintendent of their entries by July 14th. Online registration open until July 13th. All entries will be brought to the fairgrounds through the back gate on Thursday, July 23 between the hours of 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. All entries will be checked by a veterinarian for mites, lice, and other diseases upon arrival to the fair, at the back gate. Any animal found with mites, lice, or other diseases will be rejected. The veterinarian’s decision is final. All exhibitors are responsible for cleaning cages of animals they have entered in the Fair each day. Each exhibitor may enter a maximum of five rabbits per variety. The American Rabbit Breeders Association publications, “Standards of Perfection” will be used as the official reference of evaluating rabbits. All exhibitors must enter fitting & showing with an animal also entered in type. All exhibitors must enter herdsmanship. All rabbits on exhibit must have a permanent ear number for identification purposes and this number must be recorded on the entry card. All rabbits are to be shown by breed. PLEASE SPECIFY VARIETY/COLOR ON ENTRY FORM. No exhibit of doe/litter or milking doe will be allowed because of security and health concerns.

Division 677 ~ Rabbit Judging Contest
RULES: Registration for the judging contest will be Saturday from 9-9:30am and closed after that time. The contest will end at 5pm. In the event the results cannot be posted until the following morning, ribbons will be available at the superintendent’s table through the remainder of the fair. Those not picked up will be at the WSU extension office following the end of Fair.
Judging will be in accordance with the qualifications as given in “Standards of Perfection” of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. Seniors and Novice will judge at least one class of live animals. Other classes may include breed identification, feeds, equipment, quizzes, and situations requiring general rabbit knowledge. Oral reasons will be given on one class as announced by the judging contest superintendent at that time.

RULES: Open to all Mason County FFA members in Poultry projects. Fitting & Showing & Herdsmanship is required. All exhibitors are responsible for cleaning cages of animals they have entered in the Fair each day. Poultry may be rejected by the vet or superintendent because of insects or disease. Veterinarian checks will be upon entry to the fairgrounds on Thursday between 3 and 9 p.m. at the back gate. Decision of the veterinarian is final. Limit of 25 birds per exhibitor. A bird may be entered in Type or Meat, but not both. All judging will follow American Standard of Perfection. All animals must be identified by breed and variety by exhibitors.
